UI/UX Design and Accessibility Certificate

About the UI/UX Design and Accessibility Certificate at Loyola

The UI/UX Design & Accessibility Certificate equips learners with the creative, technical, and ethical skills needed to design inclusive, engaging, and user-friendly digital experiences.

This program prepares students to design digital products that serve diverse users, meet modern web standards, and leverage AI-enabled design tools. Through hands-on projects, students explore user interface (UI) design principles, user experience (UX) research methods, and accessibility best practices based on WCAG and ADA guidelines — while also learning how to integrate artificial intelligence into the design process to enhance efficiency and personalization.

Ideal for professionals seeking to expand their design and technology skills, this program blends design thinking, usability testing, and inclusive design to ensure graduates can confidently contribute to cross-functional design and development teams.

Program Structure

The UI/UX Design and Accessibility Certificate is a four course, 12 credit hour program that also offers an optional fifth course for those interested in applying skills learned in an experiential learning setting.

You will complete two courses during Fall II (starting in August) and two courses during Fall II (starting in October).

Courses are completed online, with weekly synchronous meetings held during the evening.
